The Château de Briacé dates from the 12th century. It is one of the oldest vineyards of the Nantes vineyards . Located on an exceptional soil, it was still surrounded by a hundred hectares of vines at the beginning of the twentieth century.
Vineyard of Briacé Over the years and different successions, it now belongs to the congregation of the brothers of St Gabriel and now consists of 20 hectares grouped around the property. It produces wines of great renown, mainly Muscadets and Gros-Plant. Serving as a pedagogical support for the students of the lycée, we position ourselves in a dynamics of perpetual research of improvement of the quality by new techniques of production or vinification in relation to the respect of the environment.
